The harder edge
Completion often feels strangely flat. If the thing you finished didn't announce itself, that isn't evidence it didn't count — that is what finishing feels like from the inside.
The World by position
The same card says something different depending on where it lands in a spread.
- As the foundationwhere this came from
- What you are standing on was earned. Something completed here properly, and that is why the ground holds.
- As the currentwhat is live now
- You are at the end of it, whether or not you have said so out loud. The tension is between finishing and finding one more reason to keep it open.
- As what is formingthe near horizon
- This resolves. Not dramatically — a cycle reaches its natural end and you walk out of a room you have been in a long time.
- As a single cardwhat to carry this week
- Let something be finished. The work is not one more revision; it is closing the file and noticing you are allowed to.
What are you refusing to call finished?
