An ending that clears ground. Death is the deck's most misread card: it marks completion, not catastrophe — a chapter genuinely finishing so that the next has somewhere to happen. What ends here was already over; this is the acknowledgement.

The harder edge

The hard part is rarely the ending itself. It is the interval afterwards, before the new thing has a shape, when you are tempted to reassemble what closed.

Death by position

The same card says something different depending on where it lands in a spread.

As the foundationwhere this came from: Something ended here and the ending was correct, however it felt at the time.
As the currentwhat is live now: You are in the closing. Let it close — resuscitation is the only wrong move available.
As what is formingthe near horizon: A chapter finishes. Not a loss so much as a door you stop standing in.
As a single cardwhat to carry this week: Let one thing end this week. Cleanly, without a final attempt to save it.
