The harder edge
The hard part is rarely the ending itself. It is the interval afterwards, before the new thing has a shape, when you are tempted to reassemble what closed.
Death by position
The same card says something different depending on where it lands in a spread.
- As the foundationwhere this came from
- Something ended here and the ending was correct, however it felt at the time.
- As the currentwhat is live now
- You are in the closing. Let it close — resuscitation is the only wrong move available.
- As what is formingthe near horizon
- A chapter finishes. Not a loss so much as a door you stop standing in.
- As a single cardwhat to carry this week
- Let one thing end this week. Cleanly, without a final attempt to save it.
What are you keeping alive past its own ending?
